CORONAVIRUS
STANDISH COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUP
In keeping with other communities across the UK who have set up community support groups to assist residents who need help with shopping and home deliveries of groceries or medicines, Standish Village Hall Committee and the Parish Council are proposing a similar joint venture.
If anyone in Standish needs help in any way – please use the contact details below to get in touch and we will do our best to arrange for a volunteer to contact you and make arrangements to fulfil your needs – while following the “social distancing” guidelines. This may be of help if there are no delivery slots available on the websites of the big supermarkets.

N.B. Although food suppliers are exempt from the government shutdown – it is recommended that you ring any of those listed below to check if they are still trading.
1) Shop Local: Both Stonehouse butchers had plenty of fresh meat, and Cotswold Prime Meats sell fruit and veg. Some Stonehouse restaurants were offering a takeaway service: La Campagna (821599), The Woolpack (492246) and Zaika the Indian restaurant (792525)

2) Farm Shops: There are several in the area offering a wide range of fresh meat, veg and dairy products. Most of them will deliver to Standish.

N.B. We are obviously not doing a leaflet drop during the lockdown – and as only half of the 125 Standish residents have signed up for this e-newsletter – can you pass the word about this initiative on to your neighbours – and ask them to visit the Standish website and enter their email address for any future updates? www.standishvillage.co.uk
