Those of you who attended the Vivaldi Gloria Come and Sing on 2nd July will have seen Ensemble La Notte accompany Standish Consort. They are a baroque ensemble led by Mark Wilson, who also conducts Standish Consort and leads College Music, including the Chapel at Pembroke. This young talented ensemble will perform their latest CD “La Folia” in full, lasting about an hour. With aptly named composers, such as Rebel and L’estrange, and titles such as “Danse Bizarre” and “Les Sauvages”, it promises to be an evening of madness, chaos and the truly bizarre.
This is a free concert with a retiring collecting split between the travel expenses of the musicians and the church. It would be good to have an idea of numbers to gloucestershire@ousoc.oxon.org
