The Standish Spring Tractor Run takes place on Saturday 13th April to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society.
A convoy of vintage tractors will be meeting in the field opposite Devonia Cottage in Standish Lane from 1030 a.m. and will be departing in staggered groups of 10 from 1130 a.m. onwards. It will be a spectacular sight so if you wish to come and see them off there is plenty of parking space available and bacon rolls and tea/coffee will be on sale!
You can also see them at any vantage point along the route – which will take them past Standish Church and then via the B4008 through Stonehouse, Bridgend, Stanley Downton, Frocester, Eastington, Claypits, then via the A38 to Frampton on Severn where there will be a “rest stop” for the convoy to re-group. The tractors will park up on Frampton Village Green from approximately 1215 until the convoy is re-assembled, where spectators are also welcome – with the opportunity to see the tractors up close and partake of refreshments at The Bell!
Once reassembled the convoy will then make its way along the Severn through Saul, Upper Framilode, Epney and Moreton Valence – and then via the A38 back to Devonia Cottage.
Come along and watch – or if you know someone with a vintage tractor – ask them to join in! See contact details for registration on the attached poster, where there is also a link if you wish to make an online donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Supported by Gloucestershire Police and Gloucestershire Highways.
